It’s Profit Share Time again!

This year Waggle Events is delighted to be sharing almost £3,000 with charities including Devon Air Ambulance and Rowcroft Hospice.

As part of our core business model, Waggle has always donated a percentage of our annual profit to charities. As well as the charity clients we are lucky enough to work with, this includes others nominated by our corporate clients. This Year our profit share pot stands at just under £3,000, and we’re delighted to be sharing that with causes we believe in, including some of the fantastic local charities that we work closely with, like Devon Air Ambulance and Rowcroft Hospice.

Caroline Creer, Fundraising and Communications Director at Devon Air Ambulance said “We’ve been working with Rob and the team at Waggle for a few years now. They are a pleasure to work with and the service received is always first class. The charity discount rate truly does make a difference, and on top of that to receive an annual profit share shows what a big-hearted company Waggle are. The savings made mean that even more of the monies raised go straight into keeping both of Devon’s Air Ambulances flying, to help patients in need.”

Alexia Croft, Events Manager at Rowcroft said “Waggle has always been a great supporter of Rowcroft, playing a key role in delivering established and new events for the hospice. Receiving a profit share donation on top of a discounted charity rate is an amazing benefit. As a charity we are always mindful that we are getting the best value without compromising on quality. This helps us to run our events more efficiently so more fundraising income can go towards patient care and supporting the community. In an ideal world, there would be more companies willing to offer this level of generosity to charities.”

The full list of charities who will benefit from this year’s profit share scheme is: The Albert Kennedy Trust, The Alzheimer’s Society, British Heart Foundation, Devon Air Ambulance, Dolly’s Year, Hospiscare, The Rainbow Music Trust, RNLI Lifeboats at Burnham-on-Sea, the Royal Marines Charity, Rowcroft Hospice and World of Worth.

A summer of corporate events and outdoor activities

Waggle Events is enjoying a full summer of corporate events, fundraisers, festivals, outdoor cinemas, sportives and anything else you can think of that people organise!

We invested this year in some significantly bigger and better audio visual equipment which has allowed us to provide the sound for bigger evebts and that is already paying off, as we have been invited to do things like the Tiegnmouth Air Show , the Dartmoor Classic the Leweston School Summer Festival and events for 2 major businesses in the SW.

Our team works with event managers to deliver a highly professional but friendly service and our tesimonials speak volumes.

Outdoor cinema season is approaching – Queen’s Drive Space

Oudoor cinema remains a very popular addition to any summer events being organised in the UK. In 2018, we ran the outdoor cinema in Exmouth being put on by East Devon District Council and we’re delighted that Waggle Events will be running the 2019 season too. We’re planning 12 films over the summer, starting on June 11th with Royal Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet.

Our pop up cinema is available for hire and makes a great fund raiser for schools and charities. Find out more HERE.

Our cinema package can either be set up outside with a 6m screen, or we can provide a screen up to 4m wide for indoor events. Both options use the latest laser HD projection and sound system. We will also arrange for the current licence to show the chosen film and can provide flood lighting for the exits.

Supporting local charities through our event management service

Waggle Events are very proud that our event management services and audio visual support for events and conferences are able to ‘give back’ to local charities through profit share. We were able to share just over £1500 this year with 2 schools and 3 local charities, including the Royal Marines Charity and Devon Air Ambulance.

This year we’d like to give back even more, so please do choose to work with us for your events, sportives, fund raisers and conferences.

Waggle Events are going to Confex 2019 – are you?

Confex 2019 is the biggest gathering of event managers, suppliers and speakers in the UK – and Waggle Events have booked a stand at Olympia for the first time. We will be on Stand H37C so please do come to say hello!

We will be talking to conference and event organisers as well as venues to see how Waggle Events can help with event management, venue finding and audio visual support. We support charity fundraisers, conferences, sportives and gala-style dinners and ceremonies.

In 2019, we are investing in some serously impressive audio-visual equipment to allow us to support even bigger events.

Supporting charities through profit share

Waggle Events are delighted to be supporting charities through our first profit share payout. We were able to give over £1500 to 5 local charities including 2 school PTAs, Devon Air Ambulance, Rowcroft Hospice and Royal Marine Charity.

Our work through 2018 supporting conferences, festivals, sports events and many fundraising events all allowed us to make our first profit share donations to charities who have worked with us. When we set up Waggle Events, we knew we wanted to actively support charities and we are truly thrilled that our business model is allowing us to do this.
